Clinix – Client Dashboard

Designing transparency, control, and trust for medical coding clients

Clinix is a healthcare SaaS platform used by medical coding teams and their clients. Medical coding involves converting patient diagnoses, procedures, and services into standardized alphanumeric codes used for billing, compliance, analytics, and reporting.

The Clinix Client Dashboard was designed to give healthcare agencies full visibility into:

Medical coding task progress
Operational performance (TAT, QA status)
Financials (invoices, payments)

Objective

Design a client-facing dashboard that enables healthcare providers to:

Track medical coding tasks in real time
Monitor quality and turnaround time
View and manage invoices and payments
Reduce dependency on manual follow-ups and emails

Problem Statement

From client interviews and operational understanding, key problems were identified:

No single place to track task progress
Invoice tracking and payments were manual and delayed
Clients depended heavily on emails or support teams for updates

This caused:

Reduced trust
Delayed decisions
High operational overhead

The Challenge

Medical coding workflows are complex, data-heavy, and largely invisible to clients. The key challenge in designing the Clinix Client Dashboard was to transform this backend-heavy process into a clear, transparent, and trustworthy experience for healthcare agencies.

Clients needed:

Real-time visibility into task progress, QA, and TAT
Access to large volumes of records without feeling overwhelmed
Clear and secure invoice tracking and payment flows

Design Philosophy

The design follows a data-first and client-first approach, ensuring that users can quickly understand:

What work is in progress
How quality and turnaround time are performing
What actions are required from them (reviews, payments, follow-ups)
Quality score visualization

Instead of exposing internal operational complexity, the interface translates backend workflows into simple, client-friendly signals.

Outcome

The overall design creates a professional, dependable experience where clients feel informed and confident. By combining operational visibility and financial transparency in a single interface, Clinix turns a traditionally opaque medical coding process into a clear and trustworthy client experience.
